RLOS Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These Terms govern the use of RLOS, the web application that estimates the radio line of sight (RLOS) between a remote controller or dock and a drone. By using RLOS you accept these Terms.
1. The service and the plans
- RLOS is provided by the operator of ZENIO (https://www.zenioapp.com), whose identification details are given in the ZENIO privacy policy. The same account works for RLOS and for the controller's other services.
- Free: calculation without registration, no saving.
- Pro: sign-in with an account; save analyses (up to 30 per calendar month), reopen them and export them with a verifiable PDF.
- Enterprise: everything in Pro, up to 100 analyses per user per month, and the DJI FlightHub 2 integration (analysis of planned missions and upload of the zones as annotations).
- Some plans of the controller's other services include RLOS Pro. An account created from RLOS does not include access to the other services.
- The monthly limit counts saves, including new versions and analyses later deleted. Unsaved calculations are unlimited.
2. Nature of the results
- RLOS provides a reasonable, model-based estimate, built on a digital terrain model (AWS Terrain Tiles: SRTM, EU-DEM Copernicus, USGS and other sources) and on the parameters entered by the user.
- It does not account for vegetation, buildings, interference, actual radio conditions or equipment characteristics. It is not a measurement and does not guarantee the radio link.
- The user remains solely responsible for planning and conducting operations, for risk assessment (including for SORA purposes) and for compliance with the applicable UAS regulations.
3. Account
- Sign in with Google or with email and password. Keep your credentials safe and report any unauthorised access to us.
- Signing up creates a personal space. In an organisation's space (Enterprise team plan or company space of the other services), the organisation manages the users and can see its members' analyses.
4. Saved analyses and verification
- When an analysis is saved, the server records date and time, author, parameters, results, calculation engine version and terrain source, and computes its SHA-256 fingerprint.
- A saved analysis cannot be changed: a correction becomes a new version linked to the previous one.
- The PDF contains a QR code that links to a public verification page. That page shows date, parameters, fingerprint, organisation name and status (valid or deleted), but neither the analysed location nor the author.
- The PDF is the user's document and contains the map, the analysed location and the author: the user decides whom to share it with.
- Retention: 2 years from creation, then automatic deletion. The user can delete an analysis earlier.
- After deletion, only the identifier, fingerprint, dates and the author and organisation names are kept, so that verifying a PDF already handed over still returns an answer ("deleted on …").
5. FlightHub 2 (Enterprise)
- To connect FlightHub 2, the administrator enters the DJI organisation key. The key is stored encrypted and never displayed.
- RLOS uses the key only to:
- read projects, routes, tasks and devices;
- download the mission file;
- create and delete the annotations of its own analyses.
- RLOS never changes routes, missions or tasks and never sends commands to drones.
- The organisation can disconnect the key at any time, and remains responsible for who uses it and for the permissions granted in FlightHub 2.
6. Fees and payments
- Prices and billing periods are published on the Pricing page.
- Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited, acting as seller (merchant of record): Paddle issues the invoice, applies VAT and processes any refunds.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Refunds and cancellation: see the Refund Policy.
7. After cancellation
- From the end of the paid period, you can no longer save analyses or browse the archive in the app.
- Analyses are kept until the 2-year retention period ends, and the verification pages of your PDFs keep working. Subscribing again restores your archive.
- In the meantime, access to, a copy of or deletion of your data can be requested from support (see the Privacy Policy).
8. Prohibited uses
- It is prohibited to:
- attempt unauthorised access or circumvent security measures;
- automate requests so as to overload the service;
- resell access;
- use RLOS for unlawful purposes.
9. Warranties and liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, RLOS is provided "as is", with no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or of freedom from errors.
- Except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, our total liability is limited to the amount paid in the 12 months before the event (zero for the Free plan). Indirect damages and damages arising from operational decisions based on the estimates are excluded.
10. Changes, governing law and contacts
- Material changes are announced in the application.
- These Terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to the consumer's forum where applicable.
